What senior move managers do
Senior move managers plan and manage the whole move for an older adult: floor planning the new space, sorting, packing, coordinating movers, unpacking and setting up the new home, and arranging what happens to everything else.
When to call one
- A parent is moving to assisted living, independent living or a smaller home
- Family lives far away or can't take time off to manage the move
- You want the new home set up and familiar on day one
Questions to ask before you hire
- Which parts of the move do you handle, and which do you subcontract?
- How do you price, hourly or by package?
- Are you insured, and do you have references from local senior communities?
