Privacy Policy

Effective October 12, 2026

Greatco LLC operates Greatway ("Greatway," "we," "us," or "our"). This policy explains how we handle information when you visit our website, search for services, create an account, or contact us about Greatway.

For privacy questions or requests, email info@greatwayguide.com.

1. Information we collect

Account information. When you register, you provide your name, email address, password, and whether you are looking for help or are a service professional. Our authentication provider, Supabase, processes your credentials and maintains account and sign-in records. Do not send your password to us by email.

Search information. We process the service, business name, city, state, or ZIP code you enter to return search results. Search terms appear in page addresses and may be recorded in browser history and hosting logs. The current site does not request your device’s precise location. Please keep personal, medical, financial, and estate details out of search fields.

Technical information. Our hosting and authentication providers process information such as IP addresses, browser and device details, request paths, access times, and security or error events to deliver the site, maintain accounts, and prevent misuse.

Communications. If you email us, we receive your email address, the contents of your message, and any attachments you choose to send. We use this information to respond and keep a record of the request.

Listing claims. If you claim a business listing, we collect your name, your role at the business, an optional phone number and notes, and the verification document you upload, such as a business license, registration, utility bill or tax document. Documents are stored privately and are visible only to Greatway staff reviewing your claim. To help review claims, we send the document and the listing details to Anthropic, which provides Claude, an AI model. Claude suggests whether the document supports the claim; a person at Greatway makes every final decision. Anthropic processes this information on our behalf and does not use it to train its models under our commercial terms. Please do not upload documents that contain Social Security numbers, bank account numbers or other details you don't need to share; you may cover them before uploading.

Payments. If you subscribe to Greatway Plus, Stripe processes your payment. Stripe collects your card details, billing name and billing address directly; we do not receive or store your full card number. We receive your subscription status, billing email and billing address from Stripe, and Stripe may show us the brand and last four digits of your card, so we can manage your plan and calculate sales tax.

Listing content. Information you add to a listing you manage, such as descriptions, phone numbers, website links, logos and photos, is published on Greatway and may be seen by anyone.

2. How we use information

We use information to:

  • Provide website pages, search results, and account access.
  • Authenticate users and send account-related messages, such as email confirmations.
  • Verify that people who claim a listing are authorized to manage it.
  • Process Greatway Plus subscriptions, calculate sales tax, and send billing and claim notices.
  • Respond to support, privacy, and legal requests.
  • Investigate errors, protect the service, and prevent fraud or misuse.
  • Meet applicable legal obligations and establish, exercise, or defend legal rights.

Creating an account does not enroll you in a marketing newsletter.

3. Cookies and browser storage

Greatway uses authentication cookies when you use account features. These help maintain and refresh your signed-in session. We also store your light or dark theme preference in your browser’s local storage.

Greatway uses Google Analytics to understand how the site is used, such as which pages are viewed, how visitors arrive, and general device, browser and approximate location information. Google Analytics sets cookies and collects this information for us. We use it in aggregate to improve the site, not to identify individual visitors. You can learn how Google uses this information at policies.google.com/technologies/partner-sites and opt out with the Google Analytics opt-out browser add-on.

The current site does not use advertising pixels. Our hosting and authentication providers still process operational and security information as described above.

You can clear or block cookies and local storage through your browser settings. Doing so may sign you out, prevent account features from working, or reset your theme preference. A browser’s Do Not Track setting does not change these essential functions.

4. When information is shared

We share information as needed with service providers that help operate Greatway. These include Vercel for website hosting and delivery, Supabase for database, file storage and authentication services, Stripe for payments and sales tax, Anthropic for AI-assisted review of listing claim documents, Resend for sending account, claim and billing emails, and the email services used to handle correspondence. They receive the information needed for their respective functions.

We may also disclose information when reasonably necessary to comply with applicable law or valid legal process, protect people and the service, investigate misuse, or establish or defend legal claims. If our business is involved in a merger, acquisition, or asset transfer, information may be transferred as part of that transaction, subject to applicable law and this policy.

We do not sell personal information or share it with third parties for cross-context behavioral advertising. The current site does not send your searches or account details to service professionals as leads.

5. How long information is kept

We retain information for as long as reasonably needed for the purposes described in this policy. We keep claim verification documents for up to one year after a decision so we can handle disputes, then delete them. Billing records are kept as long as tax and accounting laws require. The period depends on the type of information, whether an account remains active, an unresolved support or security issue, and applicable legal requirements.

You can request account deletion by emailing info@greatwayguide.com. Some information may need to be retained for legal, fraud-prevention, security, or dispute-resolution purposes. Deleted information may remain in restricted backups until those backups are replaced or expire. We do not promise immediate removal from every backup.

6. Your choices and privacy requests

You may contact us to request access to, correction of, or deletion of your personal information or to ask about how it is used. Depending on where you live and which laws apply, you may have additional rights, including a copy of your information in a portable format, restrictions on certain processing, or an appeal of a decision about your request.

Email info@greatwayguide.com with the subject “Greatway privacy request.” Describe your request and, if relevant, use the email associated with your account. We may need to verify your identity or an authorized agent’s authority before acting. Please do not send identity documents or sensitive estate information unless we explain why they are necessary and how to provide them appropriately.

We will respond within the time required by applicable law. If we cannot fulfill a request, we will explain the reason and any available appeal process. To ask us to reconsider a decision, reply to our response or email the same address with “Privacy appeal” in the subject. We will not discriminate against you for exercising privacy rights. Where applicable, you may also complain to your local privacy regulator or attorney general.

7. Security and processing locations

We use access controls, authentication, and encrypted connections to help protect information. No website, transmission method, or storage system can be guaranteed completely secure. Keep your account credentials private and tell us if you believe your account has been misused.

Our service providers may process and store information in the United States and other countries where they operate. Those countries may have different data protection laws from your own. Where applicable law requires additional safeguards for a transfer, those requirements still apply.

8. Children

Greatway is intended for adults and is not directed to children under 18. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13. If you believe a child has provided personal information, contact info@greatwayguide.com so we can investigate and take appropriate action.

9. Links to other websites

Greatway may link to independent professionals, reference materials, and other websites. Their privacy practices are governed by their own policies. Contacting a professional through their website or phone number is a separate interaction with that professional.

10. Changes and contact

We may update this policy as Greatway changes. The effective date at the top identifies the current version. For material changes, we will provide additional notice when required by law and obtain consent where required; posting an update does not override those requirements.
